The Finesse is back, once again trying to bring social change without controversy (A Huge feat in itself). With a bigger budget (and a bigger stage), they are ready to Entertain us with the truth in their latest production. We went back to their Temple/ Practice pad to discuss their latest venture in Indian Society NauCAri se Netagiri.
Directed by Ankush Lath and Raunak Agarwal, and written by Raunak Agarwal, the play chronicles the life of a CA and his journey as a new recruit of a political party, and the political scenario of our country. A political satire, the play is a comedy with elements of real life thrown into the mix. The group guarantees that the audience watching will definitely connect with the themes portrayed.
Meanwhile, the production wasn’t easy. Portraying the truth can be tricky, and the group’s main concern was the concept backfiring on themselves. With numerous edits the play was finally streamlined to be Entertaining, and not to be a means to target the various faults with the political system. All that is required by the audience is to have a Good time and hopefully pass on the message hidden in the satire.
